The increasingly popular road race sold out in advance for the first time in recent history, impacting on the number of Harriers who would have put in an appearance. However there were 5 WB Harriers running on a warm sunny morning in Walsall.
Paul Mansell, John Buckby, Emma Sheldon and Beverly Ward being the official West Bromwich representatives and a ‘person unknown’ making up the fourth Harrier in the results.
Performance of the day goes to Bev who ran 54:24 which saw her finish first in her age category and 169th overall on the day.
Emma Sheldon completed the race in 1:07:38 in 348th place followed by John Buckby (1:10:45) who came 7th in his category and in 375th, John was surely insight of our mystery runner Emma Otero Salgado…
The final Harrier to mention was Paul Mansell who finished in 100th place overall but more importantly the first Maroon vest overall the line with a time of 49:24.
However the mystery remains over Otero Salgdo! If you are out there get in touch we would love to hear your story and count you as one of our “miembro official”.
