First WBH

The club colours of maroon with white have been worn since the club conception as seen in an early photo (l) in front of All Saints Church, Newton Road. Our training base is now in West Bromwich but a stone’s throw away from the clubs original venue.

Trainings nights are held weekly on Wednesday evenings starting at 7pm and runs normal focus on a ‘quality’ session such as speed work or hill reps but are designed to ensure every runner improves and no one is left to run alone.

We continue to run in the Birmingham Cross Country League and the Midlands Ladies Cross Country League over the winter months as well as various county events plus traditional road races.

West Bromwich Harriers is proud to be the club of choice for “Blind” Dave Heeley (below)  – the first visually impaired runner to complete the challenge of running 7 marathons in 7 days across 7 different continents.
